A U.S. State Department cable reveals the agency will use StateChat, an AI chatbot developed with Palantir and Microsoft, to select members for its Foreign Service Selection Boards. These boards, crucial for deciding promotions and reassignments, will be formed through an "unbiased selection" process based on internal skill codes and grades, with no mention of required diversity representation.
