Samsung wants to ditch Google and make AI cooler

Samsung’s in talks to team up with Perplexity to boost its phones with smarter AI search tools and assistants. They might preload Perplexity on new Galaxy phones, build it into the Samsung browser, and even upgrade Bixby so it stops being the weird cousin of Siri.

Samsung could invest big (like half-a-billion-dollars big) and make Perplexity the default assistant on the Galaxy S26 by 2026. It’s all part of Samsung’s plan to rely less on Google and maybe out-AI Apple before Apple can even blink.
